You give so much to others, and get very little in return.

You give everything to everyone. You are the friend that is called in a crisis, the wife of the year, the daughter any mom would dream of, and the “do it all” kind of mom to your kids. But, you do not feel what you give to others is returned, and you do not feel like a priority to anyone.

You are exhausted from anticipating needs, giving, pivoting your day for others, and not having time for yourself. You can’t remember the last time you did something just for you.

You wonder if having time for yourself, feeling peace and joy is even possible.

Hi, I’m Kaitlin, a Ventura therapist who helps women set healthy boundaries, build confidence and strengthen their relationships.

My clinical background includes training as a Trainee and Associate Marriage and Family Therapist in school-based settings, private practice, and Telehealth, where I worked with children and adults across a range of concerns including anxiety, depression, ADHD, ASD, stress, relationship challenges, and trauma. I have specific and extensive experience working with parents who navigate challenges in parenting children who have a diagnosis which impacts their development and/or behavior.

In 2023, I opened my private practice in Ventura, where I now focus primarily on women navigating self-worth, relationship challenges, and stress.

Burnout and stress in parenting

If you are a mom who loves her kids but feels entirely exhausted in parenthood, this could be impacting your mental and physical health, and the way you show up for your kids and your self. Together, we will help you set healthier boundaries, identify any deeper narratives at play, so that you can feel like you have the bandwidth for not only your children, but your partner and yourself.

Relationship struggles after having kids

Your marriage was great, before you had kids. Now, you feel pulled from every direction-someone always needs something from you. You are over touched and disconnected from your partner. At this point, you feel like roommates. Let’s work together so we can untangle what is going on, and set some boundaries so you feel like you have space for your relationship.

Low self-confidence

If you’re someone struggling with low confidence, constantly second guessing yourself, or feeling like you’re never enough, you are not alone. The pressure to meet expectations and compare yourself to others can take a toll on your self-esteem. Together, we will get to the root, and then start to build a secure attachment with yourself.

ADHD

You’ve been diagnosed or suspect you have ADHD, and you wonder if this could be impacting your need to overcompensate in order to be liked or successful. Together we will explore how to manage ADHD symptoms, understand how ADHD impacts your relationships & daily functioning.
